About Me

Shari Repasz

I have always been a mover, busy in body and mind, it was dance that caught my curiosity first.  Starting at a young age in a remote town I learned what I could that was available to me.  As a young adult I studied throughout Boston, attending Boston Conservatory and finally getting my bachelors in art from Lesley University with a focus on dance and creativity.  My adult life was spent sharing my love of dance and movement with students of all ages, from 3 years old to 86.

My teaching experience started within the homeschool community teaching creative movement, followed by after school dance program at Dancers Workshop of Sudbury where my focus was jazz, Ballet and contemporary.  After 8 years teaching and choreographing for our seasonal shows, I moved on to become the dance teacher at The Rivers School of Weston.  Here I taught middle and High school contemporary dance and choreographed for the schools’ musical theater program.  While I have performed multiple dance styles of varying degrees over the course of my life, moving freely in a healing manner and expressing that freedom with my clients and friends is my favorite method of movement.

I became a licensed GYROTONIC® trainer in 2014 and a GYROKINESIS® Trainer in 2018.  I have spent my time since then primarily sharing this work with others.  These methods offer profound healing in both body and spirit, the results are continually inspiring.

My training includes Gyrotonic levels 1 and 2, and Gyrokinesis level 1. As well as applications for Dancers, Scoliosis, shoulder stability, applications for Hypermobility, Pre / Post Natal as well as Osteoperosis and an ongoing curiosity to discover movement nuances.

How I Teach

Every session my goal is to meet the client where they are in their mind, body and health that day, inviting rejuvination, newness and a refreshing workout. I strive to create a thoughtful blend of exercises and intensity through the shapes, rhythm and choreography. I observe the clients movement and processing ability, making any adjustments to fulfill their needs and goals.  My personal approach is to create a lighthearted, joyful and challenging  experience.

Where I Teach
